TEA Recognized Campuses
Temple ISD has four campuses that achieved a Texas Education Agency rating of Recognized for the 2008-09 school year. Congratulations to Kennedy-Powell Elementary, Meridith-Dunbar Elementary, Thornton Elementary, and Western Hills Elementary for this accomplishment.Free Shot Clinic for Students
Location: Room 6, Freeman Heights, 300 South 27th
Shots are administered by the Bell County Health Department.
In addition to immunizations, flu shots will also be given to students at no cost.

PTO El Chico Night
It is our first "El Chico Night" of the year! Join the Thornton family for dinner at El Chico on Tuesday, September 21st. El Chico is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Thornton PTO. When ordering your food, please let them know that you are there in support of Thornton Elementary. You will not want to miss it!
Fall PTO Fundraiser
The Thornton PTO Fall Fundraiser is underway! Be sure to ask a Thornton Thurderbird for details. Money raised through PTO is used to provide direct support to Thornton students and teachers. Look for more details to come!
